Cookie Policy

Last updated: 19 May 2026 · Version: 2.0
TL;DR — In plain English:
We use the minimum cookies needed to run Fashion Freelancers safely. Essential cookies (login, security) are always on. Analytics & marketing cookies require your opt-in. You can change your preferences anytime via the cookie banner or the button below.

⚙️ Manage cookie preferences

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (like login, language, font size) over time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them.

Similar technologies include: localStorage, sessionStorage, pixel tags (tracking images), web beacons, and fingerprinting. This policy covers all of them.

2. Who places cookies on Fashion Freelancers?

  • First-party cookies — set by us (fashion-freelancers.com) directly
  • Third-party cookies — set by our service providers (Cloudflare, Google Analytics if you opt in, etc.)

3. Categories of cookies we use

🔐 Essential cookies Always active

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. Without them, you can’t log in or browse safely. No consent required (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) contract necessity + ePrivacy “strictly necessary” exception).

Name Provider Purpose Duration Type
wordpress_logged_in_[hash] First-party Authentication — keeps you logged in 14 days (or session) HTTP
wordpress_sec_[hash] First-party Secure session token (HTTPS only) 14 days HTTP, Secure
wp_session First-party WordPress session ID Session HTTP
ff_consent First-party Stores your cookie preferences 12 months HTTP

cf_clearance Cloudflare Verifies you passed the security challenge 30 days HTTP, Secure
wp-settings-[user-id] First-party Stores admin UI preferences 1 year HTTP

⚙️ Functional cookies Always active

These improve your experience on the Platform (language selection, dark mode, dismissed popups). They don’t track you across other sites.

Name Provider Purpose Duration
ff_language First-party Saves your language choice 12 months
ff_theme First-party Light/dark mode preference 12 months
ff_search_history First-party (localStorage) Your recent searches (local device only) Until cleared
ff_dismissed_banners First-party Banners you’ve already closed 30 days

📊 Analytics cookies Requires consent

These help us understand how visitors use the Platform (which pages are popular, what’s broken, where people drop off). We only use privacy-friendly analytics. Set only if you click “Accept all” in the cookie banner.

Name Provider Purpose Duration
_pa_* Plausible Analytics (EU-hosted, GDPR-compliant, no personal data) Aggregate page views, sources, devices 12 months
_ga Google Analytics 4 (optional, only if Plausible insufficient) User ID for session tracking 2 years
_ga_[stream-id] Google Analytics 4 Session state 2 years

Note: We use IP anonymization (last octet stripped), no cross-site tracking, no advertising profile sharing.

🎯 Marketing cookies Requires consent

Currently we don’t use marketing or advertising cookies. If we add them in the future (e.g. retargeting, Facebook Pixel, Google Ads), we will update this policy and re-request your consent. They will never be activated without your explicit opt-in.

4. Your choices & rights

4.1 Cookie banner

When you first visit Fashion Freelancers, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen with two equally visible options:

  • “Essential only” — only essential cookies are set
  • “Accept all” — all cookies including analytics are set

You can also click “Customize” to choose category by category.

4.2 Change your mind later

You can update your preferences anytime:

  • Click the ⚙️ Manage cookie preferences button at the top of this page
  • Look for the cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of any page
  • Email privacy@fashion-freelancers.com

4.3 Browser controls

You can also delete or block cookies via your browser settings. Here are guides for major browsers:

  • Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
  • Firefox: support.mozilla.org
  • Safari: support.apple.com/en-us/HT201265
  • Edge: support.microsoft.com
⚠ Heads up: If you block essential cookies, the Platform won’t work properly (you won’t be able to log in, your settings won’t save, security checks will fail).

4.4 Do Not Track (DNT)

If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, we treat it as a refusal of non-essential cookies (analytics, marketing). Essential cookies still load.

4.5 Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We respect the Global Privacy Control signal (CCPA-compliant). Browsers that send GPC are automatically opted out of analytics and marketing cookies.

5. Consent log (Article 30A Israel / GDPR Art. 7)

To prove that you gave consent freely and explicitly, we log:

  • Date and time of consent
  • Anonymized IP hash
  • Browser fingerprint hash (not raw fingerprint)
  • Which categories you accepted/refused
  • Policy version at time of consent

We keep this log for 5 years after your last interaction (Israeli legal requirement Art. 30A). You can request your consent history at privacy@fashion-freelancers.com.

6. International transfers

Some cookie providers (Cloudflare, Google Analytics if you opt in) process data in the United States. For these transfers we rely on:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) approved by the European Commission
  • EU-US Data Privacy Framework (where the provider is DPF-certified)
  • Israeli Privacy Regulations 2001 (Transfer of Information) safeguards

7. Changes to this policy

When we add/remove cookies or change processing, we update this policy and (for material changes) re-request your consent through the cookie banner. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
